So we all know that typical, ” you only have a certain time to photograph newborns ” While I will admit that the earlier the better is always best with those new babies. But sometimes parents don’t always get time to schedule a session or didn’t even think about a newborn photographer until baby arrives. Which can leave you scrambling to find a newborn photographer. I get it!! I have photographed a handful of babies past that “window” of time. You know, the typical 7-14 days. Some photographers photograph them earlier… but this is when I prefer to photograph them. But every now I will get sprinkled with an older baby. I would say the oldest newborn I have photographed was 4 weeks. Until I met McKenzie! Mom had contacted me desperately wanting newborn portraits, but knew that crucial time had passed. I told mom, that I could squeeze her in and I can’t promise that McKenzie will sleep, but I am up for the challenge.
I give parents specific instructions for the morning of their Newborn Session. I can tell if you guys follow them 😉 Well this mama followed them to well. I was very pleased to say that McKenzie slept almost her entire session. I have to say I got lucky with this girl cause she let me pose her how ever I wanted. It normally DOESN’T happen that way. That’s why you should get them done earlier. The older babies get, the more they grow and they are not as flexible and don’t always mold into those positions. Well, I hit the jackpot with this girl 🙂
