There’s something so special about the families who come back year after year—no matter how far life has taken them.

This sweet family moved from Cleveland to Denver a few years ago, but every time they return to town, we make it a point to carve out a little time for photos. This summer, we had one day to make it happen—and of course, right before our session, the skies opened up. Classic Cleveland.

But instead of rescheduling or stressing, we embraced the moment. The storm cleared just in time, the air was cool and fresh, and the ground a little soggy—but their joy? Totally unaffected.

What unfolded was a session full of connection, laughter, and that magical post-rain glow. These kinds of shoots are such a great reminder: it’s not about the “perfect” setting—it’s about the love you bring into it.

I’m so grateful to be a small part of their journey, year after year—even from miles away.
